WARNING:

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME

Last Updated: March 11, 2010

That ominous warning might well apply to average golfers like you and me who try to use the same equipment as pros. It just doesn't make sense.

~ Pros have nearly perfect swings.

~ Pros practice continously under the watchful eye of experienced teachers.

~ For goodness sakes, they actually HOPE they'll hit sand traps rather than the rough because they KNOW they will get up and down out of sand.

But when you and I hit into the sand, we aren't sure if we are going to get out in one shot or scull it over the green and into another trap.

There is a solution. DivnickGolf has changed the rules.

Just as we did with the introduction of our unique BIG STIK drivers, we have designed sand and lob wedges SPECIFICALLY for the average golfer. The response has been sensational.

Introducing High-Loft Oversized Super Wedges

"DivnickGolf has revolutionized the wedge game!" Franklin James, Editor of UnderstandingGolf.com

Picture this: You have about 20 feet to carry the rough and the pin is only 5 paces onto the green? How do you hit that shot?

You have to carry the rough or the ball will disappear in deep grass and make the next shot even more difficult.

But if you hit it too far, it can run past the pin and off the green. And if there is a bunker or lake on the other side, it's all the more difficult!

So most people try to hit the fringe and just HOPE it slows the ball enough so it doesn't blast past the cup. But that little strip of fringe is VERY difficult to hit.

~ The margin of error is slim.

~ Confidence is low.

~ That's not good.

~ Relax.

~ Yeah, right.

The challenge is similar when you have to flop the ball over a sand trap and get it to stop next to a close pin. How many times do you chunk it into the trap? Or you try to take the trap out of play and blast the ball over the green and into the next county?

Whether you are trying to hit out of the sand, over the sand, out of tall grass, or you just need to get the ball to stop next to a close pin, these kind of shots are very intimidating...even for pros who are very good at using their wedges. But just for the fun of it, let's consider how they handle these tough shots.

What do pros do?

Pros carry two, and sometimes three wedges. They know the short game is where the most strokes can be saved or lost. Most pros carry a 52-degree sand wege with a 6-degree bounce angle (see illustration) and a 60-degree lob wedge with 0-degree bounce angle for short flop shots off the grass.

If it was legal to carry more clubs, they would add more wedges.

But since they are limited to 14 clubs, they vary the loft of their wedges by rotating the shaft in their hands which "opens up the face loft." Then they aim left and swing "across" the ball from out-to-in which deflects the ball with less force than a straight-into-the-ball move.

But opening the face, aiming left, and hitting across the ball just introduces more variables and complications for amateurs. Most of us can't do even ONE of those things well, not to mention all three at the same time.

It's a NEW SAND GAME!

DivnickGolf has a very logical solution that we developed from the experience with our adjustable "Whole-In-One" club. The Adjustable can be set to super-high lofts that let you hit straight into the ball and flop it almost straight up into the air. Of course, the Adjustable is a lighter head since it is adjusted to ALL lofts. So we designed that high loft into our super wedges which are heavier and go through the sand and thick grass like a hot knife through butter.

Simply stated, there is no need to open up the face if your club already has enough loft. You can hit straight into the ball, take more sand, reduce the margin of error, and have a much better chance of success.

Our most popular sand wedge has 56 degrees of loft and 16 degrees of sole bounce. That combination makes it very easy to get the ball out of the sand without sculls, chunks, or flyers. With this model, you can hit down into the sand a couple more inches behind the ball and let the sole bounce and loft automatically launch the ball out of the sand WITH BACKSPIN and stop it next to the pin.

Our high-loft lob wedges are available in 60-degree, 64-degree, and our most popular--a whopping industry highest 68 degrees with NO bounce so you can easily pick the ball off the grass, take the fringe out of play, and plop it right next to the hole where it stops on a dime!

"I love my new high-loft Divnick SuperWedge. I can take the rough and fringe out of play and stick it right next to the pin. My wife should be jealous!"

Dave Evans, Kettering Ohio

These are the absolute BEST high-loft wedges in the industry.

Which lofts will work best for you?

While pros carry a 52-degree sand wedge and a 60-degree lob wedge, we recommend the 56-degree sand wedge, and a 64 or 68-degree lob wedge for amateurs.

We offer the following options with the recommended models highlighted.

We encourage you to give one or both of these recommended wedges a try. You will be amazed, and your friends will be impressed. We guarantee your satisfaction with a 60-day money back offer.

I have always struggled out of the sand with my 52-degree Cleveland. Now I know why. It only has 6 degrees of sole bounce that seems to dig into the sand too aggressively. I have to hit the sand perfectly to get the ball out when I have a normal lie. But when the lie is poor, or when I have to carry a lot of sand or green, I never know how hard to swing or how far back from the ball to make contact with the sand. But with your 56-degree SuperWedge with that miraculous 16 degrees of bounce, I can trust my instincts a lot more easily. I actually aim to hit the sand twice as far back from the ball as before (about 4 inches total), and it increases my margin of error so I almost NEVER mis-hit. My buddies think I went to a short game golf school. Thanks for designing a club for my imperfect swing and aging bones!
