Divnick Golf Sponsors The Trick Shot Master

Peter Jöhncke will use Divnick Golf's unique clubs in his “Mysteries of Golf” shows.

DAYTON OHIO—DivnickGolf is proud to announce that it has reached an agreement with Jöhncke’s International, Inc. to be a major sponsor of Jöhncke’s show tour.

Peter Jöhncke is known as the preeminent “Trick Shot Master”. Over the past 10 years, Jöhncke has performed worldwide including Sweden, Denmark, England, Russia, Mexico, France, Spain, Belgium, Croatia, Nigeria, and USA. He has also been featured on all forms of media including radio, network and cable television, regular features on The Golf Channel, and has had numerous stories written about him in global magazines such as Golf Digest, USA Today, and several international publications.

In the midst of a young promising career as a professional golfer with several wins on the European Professional Circuit, Jöhncke was struck with cancer in 1993. It was a life changing experience. Peter recovered and developed a new appreciation and perspective for life and golf. He wanted to share his love and passion for golf with others.

Already known for being able to perform amazing golf tricks, Jöhncke added several spectacular feats to his repertoire and began putting on shows at golf events, celebrity charity tournaments, and private shows for corporations. His “The Mysteries of Golf” show includes humor, motivation and inspiration that electrify audiences of all ages and skills. His best known tricks are the high tees ranging from 4” to 9’ high (while standing on the ground), eight-foot drivers, hitting rows of 120 balls non-stop with a club in each hand, two and three-headed clubs, using hoses and chains for shafts, and hitting balls out of mid-air. His audience learns how to improve their golf swing while being entertained at the same time. He is constantly adding new tricks and customizing his shows for the particular events. Jöhncke has been referred to as, "...Golf's one man version of the Harlem Globetrotters."

Jöhncke read an article about the BIG STIK high loft driver, and became intrigued by Divnick’s approach of designing clubs for average golfers, not for pros. As he read further, he noticed the unique “Whole-In-One Adjustable Golf Club,” and the telescopic driver and putter which he thought might make good additions to his show. He contacted the owner, Steve Divnick, and asked to test the clubs.

He was so impressed with the performance of all the clubs that they have formed a relationship where Jöhncke will include all of Divnick’s clubs in his routine. Jöhncke reports, “The BIG STIK is the most amazing driver I have ever hit, and I have hit them all. It is longer and straighter, and I like the fact that DivnickGolf has lofts to fit everyone’s game, regardless of their skill. I have cranked it 350 yards, but not everyone can do that. It is important to have a club that matches your level of skill and golfers are going to love what this club does for their game.”

The BIG STIK is available in lofts of 9, 11, 13, and 15 degrees. Divnick also has a high-loft 3-wood called “LITTLE STIK” in lofts of 17 and 20-degrees which makes it much easier for the average golfer to get the ball in the air off the fairway or out of the rough.

The telescopic travel clubs include a putter, a 15-degree tee and fairway driver, and the better known Whole-In-One Adjustable. They all collapse for easy storage or travel and are very popular executive gifts. Corporate logos can be added to the Adjustable under a beautiful polyurethane dome, even in single-unit quantities. But Divnick has also supplied over 1,000 of them to the NCR corporation, the first company he showed it to after he received the patent.

Jöhncke continues, “I couldn’t believe how solid the adjustable club was when I tested it. The transmission lets you set it on every loft in the bag including half lofts. So you can play the whole game with just one club. It hits every bit as far and is just as solid as a one-piece iron. I will be having lots of fun performing trick shots with these telescopic clubs. I felt an immediate connection with this unique club-developer and look forward to an exciting tour this year.”

Divnick responds, “Peter is a one-of-a-kind talent in the world of golf, and it is our pleasure to be associated with him as a sponsor of his shows. We have become known for our innovation, and that is a good match with Peter’s unique talents. The recent addition of the high loft BIG STIK and LITTLE STIK line is transforming a lot of average golfers into dynamos off the tee and the fairway. We are very honored that Peter has chosen to use our clubs in his show as he will be able to highlight their features and capabilities.”

Jöhncke’s first show with the new Divnick clubs was at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando where he put on four shows. Pictured to the right is Jöhncke and Divnick standing at the large indoor Equipment Testing Center after one of the shows.
